San Geronimo Airpark was founded in 1981 by aviation enthusiasts who spent years building a place where they could raise their families and enjoy flying. The official association says the airpark now has approximately 100 hangars and about 30 residences.
Since 2015, the airport has been owned and operated by the San Geronimo Airpark Property Owners Association. It is also home to Experimental Aircraft Association Chapter 35.
