Texas fishing history
A lake that once set the state record
Echo Lake has a real place in Texas fishing history. In 1981, angler John Alexander Jr. caught two state-record largemouth bass here. His second fish weighed 15.5 pounds and held the Texas record until 1986.
That history adds something special to a lake residents still enjoy today—whether they are fishing the annual Memorial Day tournament, launching a boat or spending time by the water.
Life at Echo Lake
Room to fly, ride, gather and get outside
The airstrip is only one part of life here. Echo Lake also has equestrian space, wooded riding trails, existing hangars by the airstrip, a community shooting range and shared places by the water.
